On 30th June 2000 John Williams, Paul Crosshoare and Adam Hooper will embark on a Millennium adventure that will see them travel the entire 15,000 mile length of the American continents.

John has owned a motorcycle business in Gloucester for many years, having also been a professional Speedway and Grasstack rider. Paul works as a studio engineer in London and gets away from the pressures of all-night sessions by riding motocross at weekends. Adam runs a family manufacturing business, promotes the Thumpercross Motorcross Series and has ridden Motocross and Enduro at club level for many years. Each brings enthusiasm, friendship and specialist knowledge to the group.

John Williams says "There are a whole variety of reasons why we want to do it, both personal and social. This journey provides a gamut of geographical, climatic, seasonal and cultural changes along it's course. Certainly there are few more varied journeys possible on the face of the Earth."

After studying climactic conditions along the route it was obvious that it would not be possible to ride the whole length in warm and sunny weather. As a result the three riders will

have to cope with conditions varying from arid desert through rain forest to arctic tundra, riding on some of the highest and most inhospitable roads in the world.

In all they will visit thirteen countries. After careful testing they have chosen Honda Africa Twin motorcycles for their trip. Rukka Clothing, Gaerne Boots and Bell Helmets have generously donated equipment for this adventurous trip.
